What Kind of Problems Are Related to Spine?

Our spine has a flexible and strong structure. It’s made up of many bones and ligaments working together to support your body. Some vital nerve roots are located in and throughout our spine, hence, a spinal injury can cause unbearable pain.

There are 26 bones in an adult spine spine many of which are vertebrae that help you bend and flex. The discs found in between the spinal vertebrae help cushion the motions of the spine. These discs are an important part of our spine’s function, but they can be damaged through injury or aging. If these discs are harmed, then they can cause back pain, neck pain, leg pains and more.

Usually, the lumber region and cervical region of our spine take the brunt of the pressure distributed through the spine. That’s why a person more frequently suffers from neck and lower back pain. The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the human body. Long time sitting, wrong posture and injuries can damage this nerve. As a result, you may suffer from sciatic nerve pain. It can range from mild to severe chronic pain that requires treatment.

Resolving Back Pain Problems in Griffin

Spine problems may start with mild symptoms but as time passes the condition can worsen. Many causes of back pain are degenerative, which means they will get worse over time if left untreated. A spine specialist can diagnose your problem quickly and come up with an effective treatment plan personalized for your health status, lifestyle and medical needs.

The spine is a crucial part of your body’s homeostasis. If spine problems progress you may experience weakness in the legs or hands and can even have trouble walking. That’s why it can be critical to seek help as soon as you start noticing symptoms.

What Kind of Treatments Are Available For Spine Problems?

Many people think that spine problems can only be cured by surgeries but, there are plenty of non-invasive treatments that can be used before surgery is presented as an option. Injections, pain management, and physical therapies can all be used in conjunction with the goal of reducing your pain.

But, if your spine’s condition is critical, sometimes spine surgery is the best option available. After the other treatments are exhausted and aren’t addressing the underlying condition, your doctor may recommend surgery and discuss all the details and how everything works with you.

Why Should You Come To AllSpine Laser and Surgery Center?

1) Experienced Doctors

Our spine center began its journey in 2001. We have been providing services to the Griffin area and all of the Atlanta metro area for over 20 years. Our spine doctors are highly qualified and they have decades of experience in the full suite of spinal procedures. The advantage of specializing as a neurosurgeon or orthopedist is the highly focused training and skill level in one area of the body.

2) Advanced Surgery Methods

We use laser spine surgery to cure spine-related pains. This surgical method is minimally invasive, and doesn’t require any cutting at all. A small needle is used to reach the problematic disc of the spine and a laser is utilized to reduce herniated discs putting pressure on spinal nerves. The recovery time is faster, and complications and risk are much fewer than typical spinal surgeries.

We have highly effective pain management injections (steroid and non-steroid) to help give you long lasting pain relief. Our artificial disc replacement is also an efficient way to reduce your back pain. We have many minimally invasive treatments available as well.

3) Open MRI Machine

Some patients are claustrophobic, and don’t enjoy the enclosed feeling of an MRI machine. But, we have open MRI machines that are more comfortable, and allow easier imaging for many patients. The MRI is a crucial tool when diagnosing spinal issues since it allows your doctor to have a 3 dimensional image of your spine.

4) Various Types Of Spine Problem Solutions

We can treat herniated disc problems and issues caused by slipped discs. Spinal stenosis and disc degeneration are also conditions our doctors treat regularly. Our back pain doctors treat symptoms like tingling. burning, neck pain, and back pain every day. We have seen and treated almost every type of spinal condition there is, so you can rest assured we have a comprehensive treatment plan ready for you.

5) Excellent Patient Support

We treat all our patients like family. We know it can be tough experiencing any issues involving the spine, and sometimes it can be nerve wracking looking over all the symptoms and complications. Our doctors will walk you through how everything works step by step, and work hard to get you back to a pain free life. You can contact us to book an appointment or a consultation today.

Carolyn’s Testimonial

My name is Carolyn and I want to tell you my story about Laser. Several years ago, as I was getting out of a truck, my feet slipped and I landed on the pavement jerking my back in a way that I never knew existed thus causing extreme back pain.

I went to my primary care doctor due to the pain I was in. I could not put my foot on the floor. The primary care doctor sent me for x-rays. The results of the x-ray showed a nerve pressing on a disk.

My primary care doctor sent me to Shahram Rezaiamiri, a Board Certified Neurosurgeon who is located in Stockbridge, GA. Dr. Rezaiamiri talked to me about Laser being less invasive and how this may be a better plan of action for me. I have to admit I was reluctant at first but now after living with the result I’m thankful I chose Laser.

If anyone is having back pain, Laser is the only way to go and if I had to make the choice again, this is what I would choose. The recovery was 6 to 8 weeks, and I have not had back pain since my surgery.

I would not trust anyone else to surgery on my back, Dr. Rezaiamiri, knows what he is doing and is a fantastic doctor, the results I’m living with are a testimony to his great work.

If you are having back pain so severe and can no longer stand it and are not certain what you should do, Laser is the way to go. It certainly worked for me. I pray if you choose the route, that you will be pleased with the results. I know and realize that not everyone will have the same results due to the type of injury they may have, however I can honestly say I highly recommend Dr. Rezaiamiri to anyone who is in need of Laser surgery.

Thank you to Dr. Rezaiamiri for all you did to help me.

Sincerely,
Carolyn
